Dr Karen Brenner – Internal Medicine Specialist at CARE
Karen Brenner BVSc (Hons), Dip ACVIM graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2003 with honors. Karen worked in general practice in suburban Melbourne for 2 years before moving to Kansas in the United States to begin a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Karen then stayed on at Kansas State University and undertook a 3-year residency-training program in Small Animal Internal Medicine, and in 2011 she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Medicine in the area of Small Animal Internal Medicine. Karen returned home to Melbourne later in 2011 and she has worked in referral practice since that time. Karen joined the internal medicine department at CARE in 2014. She has published papers about canine pancreatic disease and leptospirosis, and enjoys all aspects of Internal Medicine, in particular hematology and endocrinology.
