The operating theatre at CARE has been designed to comply with the many standards that are applied to human surgical theatres. There is an extensive range of advanced surgical instrumentation, that includes equipment for specialised procedures such as joint replacement, management of complex fractures or limb deformities, minimally invasive (keyhole) surgeries such as arthroscopy, laparoscopy and thoracoscopy, intraoperative c-arm fluoroscopy with digital subtraction angiography, advanced neurosurgical procedures and operating microscopy. The experienced and highly-trained team of theatre nurses maintain the highest standards of asepsis and sterility.
The specialist internal medicine service at CARE is committed to the investigation and management of challenging medical conditions. This service encompasses a range of disciplines, including: oncology, medical neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology and respiratory medicine. Ultrasound, fluoroscopy, radiography and advanced imaging; endoscopic examination of the gastrointestinal, urinary and respiratory tracts; cancer chemotherapy; and electrocardiography are examples of diagnostic procedures that are regularly performed.
The team of specialists at CARE cooperate in the management of your pet’s condition to ensure it is managed as efficiently and effectively as possible. They also work in concert with your pet’s veterinarian, providing regular written and verbal updates, so they can continue to work with you and your pet when specialist care is no longer necessary.
